POI BREAKDANCING VIDEO GAME WILL TEACH CODING AND GAME DESIGN
TOYZSTEAM uses virtual learning to increase diversity and inspire innovation in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math (STEAM) fields.
We use hip-hop culture, comic books, global cultural exposure, entrepreneurship, and music to engage students.
Our over 250 hours of culturally relevant curriculum was designed on the campus of Carnegie Mellon University. It has courses for English, music, coding and game design, and entrepreneurship. Our focus is to provide training of skills necessary for computer-related jobs in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math (STEAM) careers.
Taking a project-based learning approach We enable, empower, and engage students by developing their creativity, imagination, and innovation in a fun and exciting way. Students have ownership. We appeal to them with culturally relevant content. They are inspired to innovate & create their own “Toyz”
WE HAVE BEEN DEVELOPING OUR PRODUCT FOR OVER 5 YEARS AT CARNEGIE MELLON UNIVERSITY WORKING WITH OVER 2000 STUDENTS K- COLLEGE
We did a Workshop with BNY Mellon, Girl Scouts, Red Chair Pittsburgh, Women in Technology.
Students learned how to express themselves and communicate their ideas. They get exposed to potential careers in STEAM industries. They get inspired to learn and are engaged.
Students begin to ideate and create. They begin to apply themselves with fundamental building blocks for future careers in STEAM.
High School Workshop at Carnegie Mellon University Swartz Center for Entrepreneurship. Students are trained in utilizing creativity tools in an application development environment. They learn hands-on and get exposed to a variety of skills in several industries.
OUR PRODUCT DEMO
We use Project Based Learning to train Students on industry-standard tools. Our training provides pathways for proficiency and certification.
